Select your country of residence for Poland's national D study visa procedures. Sources reviewed: 15 October 2026.
Preparing your application
The usual route for studies exceeding 90 days is a national D visa. Admission does not guarantee a visa, and a visa does not guarantee entry. Prepare the printed and signed application, passport, recent 35 × 45 mm photograph, admission and tuition payment evidence, qualifications and transcripts, language evidence, accommodation, funding, compliant insurance and required travel reservation. Non-citizens need proof of legal residence; minors need the relevant guardian documents.
A NAWA statement may be required for entry to first-cycle or integrated master's studies, depending on the qualification and exemptions. Apply free through SYRENA; the statement is issued electronically. Separate qualification routes apply to master's studies following a bachelor's degree and to doctorates.
Note: Apostille/legalisation does not replace academic recognition. Check translation requirements separately with the university, NAWA and consulate. Processing times exclude appointment waits. Fees may change.
